Question 1:
This program will create the document indicated. Please be sure
that this is what you want to write before starting. You can
return to the main menu and select another module by pressing the
"escape" (Esc) key.
The program will write a Notice of Contract Breach letter for you.
This is a letter you can send informing the recipient that he or
she is in breach of the contract and that therefore you will not be
performing pursuant to the contract.
Question 2:
It is important to have the letter properly addressed. Here, you
need to designate if the letter is to go to an individual. If the
letter is to go to more than one individual, but not to a company,
then you can answer "yes" here also.
Question 3:
Please enter the full name of the individual to whom the letter is
directed. You may also put two names if appropriate. For example,
"Mr. and Mrs. George Bowder."
Question 4:
The program assumes that if the letter is not to an individual,
than it is to a company. If the letter is to more than one
individual and not to a company, please return to question 2 and
answer "yes". If you know the name of someone in the company that
is to receive the letter than answer "yes" to this question.
Question 5:
Please enter the full name of the person in the company who is to
receive the letter.
Question 6:
The program assumes that if the letter is not to an individual,
than it is to a company. If the letter is to more than one
individual and not to a company, please return to question 2 and
answer "yes". Here, you need to properly identify the name of the
company. You should use the company's name so that the mail will
get to the proper place.
Question 7:
Please enter the street address of the recipient of this letter.
This can also be a post office box or rural delivery number. It
should normally be the first line of the address of where the
letter is going and should include a suite number, room number,
apartment number, etc; such as "876 Williamson Lane, Suite 6A" or
"P.O. Box 8767". The next question will call for the City, State,
etc., so it there is more of an address that precedes the City,
State, etc., please enter it on this line.
Question 8:
Here, you need to list the City, State, and Zip code for the
letter. This line can also include the territory where the letter
is going or any appropriate designation that you would normally use
for the final line of the address. Thus, if the letter is going to
a foreign country, please include that in answer to this question
also. For example, "Anytown, Magenta 12345" or "Cheltsfield,
Surrey, England, 7G8 T4H".
Question 9:
Please date this letter.
Question 10:
Please enter the date of the contract that is being breached.
Question 11:
Often the contract will be breached because of the inability of the
other party to perform under the terms of the agreement. If that
is the case answer "yes" to this question.
Question 12:
Please enter the date of this letter.
Question 13:
A common reason for the breach of a contract is the failure of
delivery of the goods.
Question 14:
Please identify the goods that were not delivered. This can be
"the shipment of widgets due on 4/1/89" or another similar
description.
Question 15:
It is also common to give a notice such as this one when the other
party to the contract has failed to perform under the terms of the
agreement. If the failure of performance was the non- shipment of
goods, then answer this question "no" but go back to question 13.
Question 16:
Please identify what hasn't been done by the other party to the
agreement.
Question 17:
Often there are damages caused by the breach of an agreement. If
these damages are monetary than answer "yes" to this question.
Question 18:
Please specify the amount of money that you are claiming because of
the breach of the contract. You needn't put a "$" sign because it
will automatically appear in the document.
Question 19:
If you are claiming damages, then are you demanding that they be
paid at this time?
Question 20:
Please enter the date when you expect to receive the money you have
demanded. You can also enter a phrase such as "within 30 days of
this letter."
Question 21:
Please enter the State or Territory where you live.
Question 22:
If the letter is to be signed by a company, then answer "yes" here.
Question 23:
Please enter the complete name of the company.
Question 24:

going to sign the letter?
Question 25:

the individual who is going to sign this.

you wish by pressing "escape", or you can continue with the
program. Now that the questions are completed, the program will
allow you to preview the document, write it to a disk file for
editing further or print it. Note that it will be automatically
saved so you can review or print it later.
